Origin of the name "Curonia"
The ‘Curonians’ were known as mighty and fierce warriors, excellent sailors, and pirates. They were involved in several wars and alliances with Swedish, Danish, and Icelandic Vikings. During this period, the Curonians were the most restless and the richest of amongst all the Baltic tribes in northern Europe. Curonia Beer pays a tribute to this rich Curonian tradition.
